The Qatari Scouts and Girl Guides Association organized the Scout Training Gathering for boys, in cooperation with the National Service Academy (Muqdam Camp), with the participation of 220 scouts representing 6 scout teams from public schools under the slogan (Today’s young men are tomorrow’s men), as part of the association’s development plan for the scout year 2022/ 2023.
This gathering aims to activate scouting activities and provide participants with knowledge and skills in the application of scouting curricula. The Commissioner-General of the Society, Mr. Jassim Muhammad Al-Hardan, said: This gathering is one of the activities that the Society has been implementing and placing within its annual plan to integrate scout teams into a set of activities and programs aimed at enhancing communication, acquaintance, and exchange of experiences between scout teams at this stage. Jassim Al-Hardan added: The association is keen to establish such gatherings to implement wide activities in various fields to meet the needs of scouts, build their capabilities and provide them with positive attitudes, noting at the same time, that the camp program focused on training according to scout training rules such as the rule of promise and law and the rule of raising ceremonies Science and its meaning, the basis for calls, line-ups, and types of scout associations, in addition to the fruitful cooperation with the National Service Academy (Muqdam Camp), which harnessed all its capabilities for the success of the scout camp. Curriculum decisions and periodically assessing the expected impact of these scouting curricula. Hamad Al-Omari, Commander-in-Chief of the Gathering, confirmed the association’s keenness to activate the scouting activities and programs according to the curriculum for this stage. It is compatible with its Sunni characteristics and meets the needs of the boys in an atmosphere of familiarity, communication, and teamwork. Commander Al-Omari said: The gathering witnessed many activities that started after Friday morning and continued until Saturday afternoon, according to a comprehensive program for various scouting fields such as the religious, national, scouting, environmental, social, sports, and scientific fields, in addition to the Summer Ceremony program, which aims to discover and highlight talents and enhance self-confidence and confront The audience.
The leader of the gathering added: The association has prepared a diversified scouting program that includes various scouting fields, such as the religious, national, social, and scouting fields, in addition to the different life axes. Scouts participated positively in the activities of the National Service Academy.
The Boy Scouts expressed their great happiness at attending these camps, which contributed to raising morale and developing their military culture, as well as learning about the combat capabilities of the National Service Academy fighters, expressing their great happiness and desire to realize the dream and honor of belonging to the Qatari Armed Forces in the future.
The Qatari Scouts and Guides Association thanks the National Service Academy (Muqdam Camp) for this visit, as I got to know the academy and found it a factory for men, and a national edifice for graduating heroes, according to God who is in charge of it, directing their steps to serve the country, protect Qatar, and implement Qatar Vision 2030, with great ambition to serve this. The homeland, to remain cherished by its children, proud of its achievements, and impregnable by its victorious armed forces.
A number of scout teams participated in the gathering, namely the Abu Ubaidah Preparatory School Scout troupe, the Al-Ahnaf bin Qais Preparatory School scout troupe for boys, the Mesaieed Preparatory School scout troupe, the Abdullah bin Ali Al Misnad Preparatory School scout troupe for boys, the Imam Shafi’i Preparatory School scout troupe for boys, and Scouts of Saeed bin Zaid Preparatory School for Boys, and Commander Hamad Al-Omari, Commander Ahmed Khamis Al-Youssef, Commander Yaqoub Jaber Al-Tamimi, Commander Khaled Al-Hitmi, Commander Ali Hussein Al-Nama, Commander Muhammad Nasser Al-Marri, Commander Muhammad Faraj Al-Marri, and Communications Commander Fahd Juma Al-Subaie supervised the meeting.
