The First Gathering of Scout and Guide Teams and Packs for People with Special Needs and Disabilities
His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Naimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, attended the program of the first gathering of the Scout and Guide teams and packs for people with special needs, held at Al-Hidaya School for Special Needs (Boys and Girls) in Hazm Al-Merkhiyah. The event was also attended by Her Excellency Mrs. Maha Al-Ruwailli, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs and Vice President of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, as well as Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Hardan, the Chief Commissioner of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, and Ms. Latifa Saad Al-Naimi, alongside directors of public and private schools, and parents of the students.
The ceremony included a welcoming display of the military march and Qatari flags, as well as several scouting workshops, such as the Scout Promise and Law, the Scout Salute and Emblem, folding the scout scarf, hand signals, clapping, and calls. On the sidelines of the gathering, the Qatar Association for the Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs also participated.
During the event, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Naimi toured the various programs and workshops. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of the scouting movement as a vital part of the educational process. He noted that scouting helps people with disabilities develop their personalities, promote moral values, encourages voluntary work, and strengthens national unity and mutual respect within the scouting movement.
Dr. Al-Naimi expressed his gratitude to those responsible for organizing the gathering and highlighted the role of scouting in empowering people with disabilities, developing their abilities, and its connection to the broader movement, which also helps develop life skills and build character. He encouraged young people to love and serve their country.

The event concluded with sports games and competitions between the teams.
