Arab Scout Associations Presidents' Meeting – Kuwait, January 2025
The Qatar Scouts and Guides Alumni Section, represented by Dr. Yusuf bin Ali Al-Kazem, Head of the Alumni Section, participated in the Arab Scout Associations Presidents' Meeting held in Kuwait, with representatives from 19 Arab countries.
The meeting covered several key topics, including:
Discussion of the Arab Union's Charter: The regulations and systems governing the work of the Union were reviewed and updated.
Overview of the Arab Union's Plan for 2025: The plan included future goals aimed at developing the Arab Scouting movement.
Evaluation of the Third Al-Quds Forum in Jordan: The achievements and challenges faced by the previous forum were discussed.
Discussion of the Union’s Future Strategy Paper: This included a clear vision for advancing Arab Scouting work over the coming years.
Publication of a Printed Magazine for the Arab Union: The magazine aims to document the Union's activities and enhance communication among the Arab Scout associations.
Additionally, an important decision was made to designate Kuwait as the Arab Scout Capital, in recognition of its significant role in supporting the Scouting movement at both the regional and Arab levels.
Qatar was praised for its commitment to the Scouting movement in general, and to Alumni in particular, as well as its prominent role in hosting the meetings of the committees emanating from the Arab Union of Scouts and Guides Alumni in April, and the Union's General Conference in 2026.
