Qatar Scouts Participate in the Tourist Visits Program at the 33rd Arab Scout Camp in the UAE
The Scouts of Qatar participated in the tourist visits program at the 33rd Arab Scout Camp in the United Arab Emirates. More than 1500 scouts from 19 Arab countries took part in various activities as part of the camp, which is being hosted by the UAE in collaboration with the Arab Scout Organization. The event, held under the theme "Scouting: A Path of Sustainability," will continue until the 25th of December.
During the program, Qatari scouts visited several landmarks in Dubai. One of the highlights was a visit to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, aimed at encouraging scouts to love reading, developing their talents and abilities, and familiarizing them with the country's cultural landmarks.
During the informative tour, the scouts learned about borrowing books, registering for library membership, understanding book numbering and barcodes, and utilizing the latest technology in the world of information and libraries. They explored the extensive collection, which includes nearly a million books, periodicals, and magazines covering literature, sciences, and human knowledge. Special emphasis was given to heritage collections and special sections for children and youth.
