On November 1st, all members of the Arab Guiding movement across the Arab world celebrate Arab Girl Guide Day under the theme "Voices for Peace" to stand in solidarity with Palestine and promote values of solidarity and peace.
On this occasion, the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to all Girl Scouts, Guides, Rangers, and leaders in our Arab region.
Qatar’s Guides participated in the celebration alongside their fellow Guides from across the Arab world, in partnership with the Palestinian Girl Guides Association and the Arab Region of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). The celebration, held under the theme "Voices for Peace," was in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Arab Girl Guide Day provides an opportunity to renew solidarity and sisterhood among Guides and emphasize their role in shaping a future of peace and cooperation.
Additionally, the Youth Committee of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association organized a program to activate Arab Girl Guide Day under the theme "Guides for Peace" via the Teams platform. The program aimed to engage young girls in discussions on topics that matter to them, foster friendships, and promote dialogue. The main activities focused on:
1. Sending greetings among the Guides in celebration of Arab Girl Guide Day.
2. A group discussion on the skills Guides have gained through scouting and guiding activities.
3. Fun, interactive games based on concentration and mental skills.
4. Preparing a healthy dish by the young participants.
5. Discussing peace and their wishes for an end to violence against Palestine.
6. Presenting videos created by the Cubs and Girl Scouts on the theme of stopping violence against Palestine.
