Qatar Scouts and Guides Association and Qatar Red Crescent Collaborate to Distribute 1,606 Iftar Cards and Winter Aid to Families in Need and Al-Salam School Students

As part of efforts to promote charitable and humanitarian work during the holy month of Ramadan, the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, in collaboration with the Qatar Red Crescent, launched a meaningful community initiative that included the distribution of 1,606 magnetic Iftar cards to deserving families. These cards allow families to secure their daily food needs throughout Ramadan with ease and dignity, reflecting the spirit of social solidarity that characterizes Qatari society.

Additional Support through the "Warm Winter" Campaign

In addition, 283 families benefited from the Warm Winter campaign, which targeted the most vulnerable families—especially those with children enrolled in Al-Salam Schools. The aid provided allowed families to purchase clothing, shoes, and school bags, underscoring the partners' commitment to supporting both the living and educational needs of underprivileged children and their families.

Reaching the Most Vulnerable

The distributed aid targeted some of the most vulnerable groups in society, including:

Families of prisoners
Widows and divorced women
The elderly
Persons with disabilities
Low- and zero-income families

A Strong Partnership in Humanitarian Service

In a joint statement, the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association and the Qatar Red Crescent emphasized the importance of this collaboration, which reflects their shared commitment to humanitarian service—especially during Ramadan, when the need for such initiatives is at its peak.

Both organizations also expressed their sincere appreciation for the generous support of donors and volunteers, whose contributions ensured the organized and effective distribution of aid, reaching beneficiaries in a timely manner.
