The Scout camp for boys (for the elementary stage), in collaboration with the National Service Academy
Today, the activities of the Scout camp for boys (for the elementary stage), in collaboration with the National Service Academy (Mogdaam Camp), kicked off under the slogan "Scouting: Education, Ethics, and Respect". The camp will continue for two days with the participation of 150 scouts representing various government schools.
Jassim Al-Hardan, the General Commissioner of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, explained that the camp's activities aim to instill in the participating boys a set of sensory and moral values in addition to the necessary scouting skills to experience contemporary life and keep pace with Qatar's developments in all fields, following the scouting principles and method through practical application of various scouting skills within the camp in collaboration with the National Service Academy (Moussamak Camp), and working in small groups to implement activities and programs as per the camp's schedule.
Hamad Al-Omari, the overall camp leader, emphasized that the program is rich in its activities, including Sports Day, National Day, Life Skills and Skills Day, Adventure and Challenge Day, as well as shooting and entertainment. He expressed confidence in the camp's success and the achievement of its objectives, given the competent leaders known for their significant contributions to activating scouting in Qatar. Furthermore, the well-prepared groundwork by the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association in collaboration with the National Service Academy will greatly contribute to the camp's success and goal achievement. The camp aims to instill and develop a sense of nationalism, constructive cooperation, respect for others, appreciation, volunteering, social solidarity, and rejection of discrimination and racism, as indicated by the camp's slogan "Scouting: Education, Ethics, and Respect."
Al-Omari noted that the camp, with its slogan "Scouting: Education, Ethics, and Respect," aims to enhance educational values, active citizenship, loyalty, and patriotism among the scouts, in addition to practicing scouting skills, religious, scientific, health, environmental, and sports activities.
He added that the camp serves as a broad platform for exchanging scouting experiences, and fostering acquaintance, and camaraderie among the scouts.
