Qatar Scouts Solidarity with the Palestinian Cause
The Qatar Scouts and Guides Association organized an exhibition titled "Palestine in Our Hearts," showcasing a collection of works by the scouts about the Palestinian cause and the brutal aggression against Palestine. The exhibition featured artworks, handicrafts of the map of Palestine, traditional clothing, historical information about Jerusalem and Palestinian cities, as well as informative models, all aimed at connecting scouts with the current realities and circumstances.
The exhibition aligns with the scouts' vision of providing high-quality, innovative learning opportunities and their belief in the importance of connecting Qatari scouts to social, political, and national issues, raising awareness of current events, linking their learning to real-world situations, and involving parents in the educational role. The exhibition was a significant step in the scouts' efforts in education, awareness, and upbringing. It provided the scouts of Qatar with an authentic representation of the history of Palestine and current events related to it.
The exhibition received significant attention from scouts in Qatar and was praised for its excellent organization. It was supervised by Sarah Sultan and Hazam Naji, and included manual, artistic, and skill-based activities reflecting the cities of Palestine, its ancient heritage, and images of folk costumes, embroidery, and works that express solidarity with the Palestinian people during their suffering in the war on Gaza. The Qatar Scouts and Guides Association also presented Palestinian folk culture, which reflects the material and spiritual life of the Palestinian people, passed down from generation to generation.
Additionally, the exhibition displayed a representation of the Al-Aqsa Flood that narrates the events of October 7, 2023, marking the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Flood. It included historical information and details of the events and actions undertaken by fighters and heroes to liberate the holy land.
The exhibition of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association represents a historical account of Palestine, its history, heritage, and current situation under occupation and oppression. It opens new avenues for scouts to deepen their knowledge of Arab history and maintain their commitment to the Palestinian cause, which remains the foremost issue for all Arabs and Muslims.
