Under the slogan "Ready to Change the World," the International Day of the Girl was activated today. This is an annual celebration held on October 11th every year, shedding light on the challenges girls face worldwide. It's an opportunity for girls to voice their opinions on the issues that concern them, propose solutions, and advocate for their causes in the future. This year's theme is "Resilience," focusing on three types of resilience: social, emotional, and physical.
To mark this occasion, it was activated by leaders to be implemented and applied to the guides through the resources provided by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. This was done through a continuous brainstorming workshop, which is a group game where paper planes are used, along with either a real or imaginary ball, to discuss tools and ideas for dealing with the pressures and problems they face.
The Oscars Cubs also participated in the International Day of the Girl by applying this year's theme, which is "Resilience," but in their own way and according to their age group. What added to the joy of this theme was their choice of colors in their brainstorming process.
Brighton School also participated in activating the theme "Be Ready to Change the World" on the International Day of the Girl through the game "My Paper Planes" and the girls' ability to come up with solutions to their emotional, social, and physical challenges.
