The 38th World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts
A delegation of the State of Qatar heads to Cyprus to attend the 38th World Conference of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. The delegation of Qatar's Girl Guides goes to participate in the 38th World Conference of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts، It is organized by the Assembly in the Republic of Cyprus in cooperation with the Association of Girl Guides of Cyprus from 7/25/2023 to 7/31/2023 with high-level international participation. The delegation of Girl Guides of Qatar consists of the head of the delegation, Professor / Maha Al-Ruwaili, the deputy head of the leader / Dha Al-Hajri, and the leader / Sarah Al-Sultan and the young woman / Sarah Al-Baker
The conference will be held through the World Council of Girl Guides and the planning team, under the slogan ( My Dream, take action, lead the future for us ) within the vision of the global indicative movement to enhance the role of young women in leading the movement in the future. The Commissioner of Girl Guides and the delegation worked on studying and preparing what is necessary for participation throughout the days of the conference, which deals with the following axes:
• Strategy of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts 2024-2029.
• Report for the third period 2021-2023
• The proposals submitted to change the constitution of the World Assembly and the internal regulations.
• Suggestions for voting.
• Nominations and elections for the World Council 2023-2029.
• The procedural rules for the conduct of the affairs of the conference and the method for applying and reviewing these rules
• Bids to host the next 39th World Conference.
• Membership Fee.
• Compass of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts 2032
The World Conference of Girl Guides is the supreme authority that charts the general policy of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts by proposing and discussing a number of topics of interest to the global movement of women guides and taking proposals and voting on them by countries Members participating in the conference.
The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Cyprus, His Excellency Mr. Ali Youssef Abdel Rahman Al-Mulla, at the embassy headquarters, received the delegation of the Scout Association and the Qatari Girl Guides participating in the 38th World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
During the meeting, the Ambassador welcomed the participating country delegation, noting the role that female guides play in supporting scouting and guiding efforts at the local, Arab and global levels. His Excellency Ambassador Ali Youssef Abdel Rahman Al-Mulla addressed words of encouragement and motivation for the leaders and young women participating in the 38th World Conference and ensuring that creativity, innovation, participation in international forums and the representation of our beloved country Qatar are best represented.
