The Qatar Scouts and Guides Association participated in the meeting of the heads of the Arab Scout Associations at the headquarters of the Arab Scout Center in Cairo Where seventeen Arab Scout Associations participated in the meeting, after a two-year break from direct meetings due to the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Nuaimi Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Scouts and Girl Guides Association and Jassim Mohammed Al-Hardan, Commissioner-General of the Qatar Scouts and Girl Guides Association participated in the meeting.
His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi said that this meeting was an excellent platform for exchanging and evaluating opinions and ideas in order to develop the Arab Scout Movement.
The participants in the meeting of heads of Arab scouting federations recommended setting a work program on the activities to be carried out by scout associations next year, encouraging Arab youth to participate in scouting movements and continuing cooperation to preserve the unity of joint Arab union.
During the meeting, several topics were reviewed, including the report on the achievements of the strategic plan of the following associations: (Qatar, Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, Tunisia, Sudan, Syria , Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Emirates, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, Bahrain, Yemen).
Then the upcoming global and international scouting events were presented to inform the associations and encourage them to participate in them. Furthermore, various youth programs to empower Arab youth were launched, and finally, the discussion of the possibility of hosting the 30th Arab Scout Conference and the other upcoming events next year.
