Meeting of the Arab Sub-Committee for Programs and Stage Development at the Arab Scouting Organization
The meeting of the Arab Sub-Committee for Programs and Stage Development at the Arab Scouting Organization was chaired by Mr. Ghannam Abdulrahman Al-Kuwari from the Qatari Scouts. The committee discussed the achievements of Arab activities in the field of programs and youth participation in 2023 (the implemented plan), best practices in the field of programs and youth participation during the year 2023 for associations, achievements, as well as reviewing the Parent Guide and proposing its development and dissemination.
- Youth participation in the Scouting program by Mr. Mohammad Abushiba from Kuwait in the Arab Scouting camp.
- The plan of Arab activities for programs in 2024, the activities of the Sub-Committee in 2024, and the distribution of tasks and follow-up by prominent members of the committee. The digital application design for Libyan Scouts "Prepare" was presented as part of the best practices. The position on services and their availability requested according to the tripartite plan in regular meetings. The position of associations on the development of national policies in the fields of program and youth participation, the self-assessment tool for the Scouting program.
- Designing a tool to measure the impact of the youth program on young people, adults, and society.
- Preparation of the proposal for the first newsletter in the series of Scouting program newsletters for sustainable development goals.
- Inclusion of measures to protect against harm in Arab Scouting curricula (jointly with the Harm Protection Committee).
It is worth noting that this committee specializes in providing proposals and developing Arab Scouting programs, participating in the management of Arab Scouting activities and events, as well as preparing studies and research and reviewing Scouting curricula that contribute to the development and dissemination of the Scouting movement and assisting Arab Scouting associations in the field of programs and Scouting activities.
