The Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, in collaboration with the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID), organized a special Ramadan gathering that brought together faith and community in a warm and spiritual setting, reflecting the true essence of the holy month.
A Diverse Program to Promote Ramadan Values
The event opened with a welcome speech by H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Nuaimi, Chairman of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association and Chairman of DICID. In his address, he emphasized the importance of such gatherings in promoting Ramadan values and fostering brotherhood among members of society from different cultural backgrounds during this sacred month.
The program also featured a special segment on volunteerism, delivered in English by Mr. Khalid Fakhro, Director of Public Relations at Qatar Charity, addressing attendees and representatives from community schools in Doha. He highlighted the significance of volunteer work in building strong communities and enhancing social solidarity, especially during Ramadan.
In addition, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Dosari delivered a religious lecture in which he spoke about the meaning of Ramadan, the virtues of fasting, the revelation of the Holy Qur’an, and the importance of charity and good deeds during the month.
Ramadan Ghabga: A Night of Connection and Brotherhood
The gathering concluded with a traditional Ramadan Ghabga, where attendees came together in a spirit of unity to engage in warm conversations about Islamic values and the role of individuals in promoting tolerance and social harmony. A special highlight was the participation of Dr. Ibrahim Al-Nuaimi, who joined attendees at their tables and took photos with them, adding a heartfelt and personal touch to the evening.
Participants expressed their happiness with the event, praising its organization and the valuable content shared throughout the program.
Strengthening Community Dialogue
This gathering served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community initiatives that foster intercultural dialogue and instill values of compassion and generosity — especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.
