“Fun Science” Program Sparks Innovation and Scientific Curiosity Among Girl Guides
Organized by the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association in collaboration with the Qatar Scientific Club
As part of its efforts to enhance girls' interest in science and technology, the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, in cooperation with the Qatar Scientific Club, organized the “Fun Science” program with the participation of 100 Girl Guides from various schools. The program is part of the broader STEM project (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
The initiative aims to stimulate creative thinking, spark enthusiasm for scientific experimentation, and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment.

The Qatar Scientific Club presented a series of exciting and engaging experiments under the theme of “Fun Science”, including:
Liquid Nitrogen Experiment
Dry Ice Demonstration
Oxidation and Combustion Reaction
These interactive sessions were met with great enthusiasm and curiosity from the Girl Guides, who thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
In addition, the Young Women’s Committee introduced the program through a series of introductory workshops and preparatory experiments, such as:

Volcano Experiment
Secret Light Detector
Creative Drawing Activity Reflecting the Concept of Fun Science
