The Qatari Scouts participate in the opening of the 33rd Arab Scouting Camp in the UAE
The Qatari Scouts and Guides Association commenced its participation yesterday in the 33rd Arab Scouting Camp hosted by the United Arab Emirates from December 15 to 25 under the theme "Scouting: A Sustainable Approach." The camp takes place in the Marmoom Reserve and involves more than 1750 scouts and guides representing 19 Arab countries. The event is organized by the UAE Scouts Association in collaboration with the Arab Scout Organization - Arab Scout Region, with the presence and participation of various official Emirati figures and the Consul General of the State of Qatar, Mr. Saeed bin Ali Al Hajri, and representatives from other participating countries' embassies.
The opening ceremony, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, was attended by dignitaries from the UAE and Qatar, among others. Following the opening ceremony, the Qatari Scouting exhibition was inaugurated, showcasing images of the scouting history in the country, its global, Arab, and Gulf contributions, as well as its cultural heritage and the nation's historical and civilizational aspects. The exhibition also highlighted the country's biodiversity, introducing participants to the Qatari Scouting movement, its history, and achievements within the camp.
