Boy Scouts gathering (the fifth and sixth grade) with the participation of 165 scouts
The Qatari Scouts and Guides Association organized a scout gathering for the Boy Scouts stage (the fifth and sixth) with the participation of (165) scouts representing (8) scout teams from the preparatory schools for boys under the slogan (I Qadha). This gathering aims to develop national feeling among scouts, activate community participation, provide them with scouting knowledge, skills, and trends, and direct their energies towards creativity, distinction and global communication. Mr. Jassim Muhammad Al-Hardan, Commissioner General of the Qatari Association of Scouts and Girl Guides, affirmed the goal of the Scout Group, which aims to contribute to enhancing the personality and national identity of the scouts who represent the bright future of the nation, as an opportunity to develop their talents, abilities and life skills. For this age group of (9-10) years, with the aim of abiding by the promise and the prescriptions of the Scout law, fixing the religious, social and health concepts, as well as developing the innovation capacity of scouts, using the democratic method in discussion, working on developing and improving physical abilities, and playing effective and beneficial roles for society and enabling them to undertake voluntary services in several fields . He added that Scouting is based on several principles such as Scouting originality in terms of adhering to the goal, principles and the Scout method, and enabling Scouts in their various stages to provide them with knowledge, skills and behaviors that instill awareness of national identity and awareness of openness to justice and human civilization and build their personality in a personal way and prepare Scouts at this stage to love work. And insight into its moral value and its active role in character formation, instilling ambition to excel and creativity, achieving defense of the nation and contributing to its prosperity. And he stressed the importance of establishing scout camps, because of their effective impact on school students' involvement in work that benefits them, society and the nation, through the activities that the participating students do that prepare them to assume responsibility in the future, and provide them with skills and information that enable them to deal with life with its realities and its changes. Al-Hardan expressed his sincere thanks to the organizers of this gathering and to the family of the Scout camp, stressing his support for all school activities that would improve the level of the educational process. Therefore, the Scout Movement is looking forward to training scouts on collective life and love for others so that they develop the spirit of citizenship. The gathering that was held at the marine scout camp in Al Khor included training on scouting activities such as the application of various scouting traditions, training on contract and scouting ties, and implementing projects (pioneering work and the ceremony, and how to prepare and apply it. And the identification and application of the cell trip, as well as the identification of the environment surrounding the camp and the implementation of many night games that encourage adventure and horse riding by achieving many rules of games that depend on physical strength in a competitive atmosphere among the pioneers in addition to training rules on first aid, use of the whistle and identification Trends using the compass The participants in the gathering expressed their benefit from the scouting program that was implemented, and the celebration of diversity in the scientific and practical paragraphs and the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood that prevailed during the implementation of the programs and the keenness to contribute to the service and the development of the community.
