Celebration of the International Day of Sign Language
In the presence of the General Commissioner of the Qatar Boy Scouts and Girl Guides Association, Mr. Jassim Al-Haradine, a celebration was held at the School for the Hearing-Impaired on the occasion of the International Day of Sign Language. During the event, the Scout Sign Language Encyclopedia was introduced and explained by Mr. Saeed Omar in an exceptional manner. He was joined by Scout Leader Murad Al-Sus, Scout Leader Shareefa Al-Balushi, and Scout Leader Shaimaa Abdulmajid. The school's director, Mrs. Muneera Al-Jasiman, and Supervisor Aaisha Askar also attended the event. Various topics from the Sign Language Encyclopedia were discussed, such as scout traditions and other scouting terminology that facilitates the integration of the deaf into life and scouting camps with ease.
