The Qatar Scouts and Guides Association hosted a delegation of scouting leaders of the Sultanate of Oman on a fraternal visit to their brothers in the Qatari Scouts.
This visit aimed at getting acquainted and building bridges of communication between the leaders of the scout work, exchanging experiences, encouraging joint activities between the scout leaders, and identifying the civilizational, cultural, heritage, sports, scientific and scouting achievements in the State of Qatar.
Jassim Mohammed Al-Hardan, Commissioner-General of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, said that this visit is one of the outcomes of the joint scouting work in the GCC countries and the implementation of the decisions of the meeting of the heads of the Scout Societies in the Gulf Cooperation Council to encourage official and unofficial visits between the leaders of scout work to promote positive communication and exchange of experiences.
He added that the association has prepared a program of visits for the delegation of Oman, which contributes to introducing them to the civilizational, cultural, heritage, scientific, sports and scouting achievements.
He stressed on the importance of the role that the scouting movement in the Gulf Cooperation Council aspires in unifying the scouting curricula, continuous training programs, scout qualification, medals, scouting concepts, setting up camps and scouting activities at all levels in support of the scouting unit and promoting belonging and working by the common values of the people of the Gulf.
