The Qatari Scouts organize the Scout Gathering for the advanced stage
Qatar Scouts and Guides Association organized the Scouts gathering for the advanced stage, with the participation of (170) scouts representing (6) scout teams.
Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Hardan, Commissioner-General of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, stressed the importance of this gathering to hone talent, develop capabilities and build good citizens, which aim to create ambitious young leaders, and we will work together during the coming period with every effort to harness the time and give to the Scouts, and our goal in that is to contribute to the industry young leaders with bright and ambitious thinking.
Al-Hardan added: Scouting is based on several principles such as scouting authenticity and enabling scouts at their various stages to acquire knowledge, skills, and behaviors to consolidate national identity, collective life, and love for others so that they develop a spirit of citizenship.
Commander Hamad Al-Omari, the leader of the gathering, said that the period we spent in Sealine camp was a period full of programs that expand the
sports, cultural, social and scientific horizons of the scouts, which contributed to discovering and refining talents, and called on the scouts to take the
initiative in transferring the knowledge, skills, experiences and competencies they acquired to their peers in their scouting teams and in their schools.
Commander Ghanem Abdul Rahman al-Kuwari praised the discipline and performances he witnessed by the scouts and said that the scouts' presentations
embodied the extent of the scouting skills and arts that they were trained on inside the scout camp.
Commander Ali Hussein Al-Naama said: The camp was an opportunity to hone our scouting talents and enhance our knowledge and experience thanks to
the various activities and events it presented that contributed to the formation of relationships with scouts from various schools in Qatar.
The participating scouts expressed their happiness to participate in the camp, as such scouting activities benefit the scouts in developing their scouting
abilities and skills, which contribute to acquiring new relationships with scouts and leaders and help them learn new experiences that will benefit us in
our future lives and provide us with skills of self-reliance, discipline and time constraint. They expressed their wishes that they would have future
opportunities to participate in scouting camps inside and outside Qatar.
The gathering, which lasted for two days, included scouting activities, such as applying the various scouting traditions, training on contracts and scouting ties, implementing leadership projects, a summer party, how to prepare and apply it, identifying and applying the cellular journey, as well as getting to know the environment surrounding the camp. Several night games that encourage adventure were implemented by preparing many rules of games that depend on physical strength in a competitive atmosphere among the pioneers, in addition to playing various sports such as football, table tennis, tug of war, and other sports.
It is noteworthy that this gathering was supervised by the leader/ Hamad Youssef Al-Omari, the leader/ Ghanem Abdul Rahman Al-Kuwari, the
leader/ Ahmed Khamis, the leader/ Hizam Naji, the leader/ Ali Al-Naama, the leader/ Yaqoub Abu Shawareb, the leader/ Khaled Al-Hitmi, the
leader/ Muhammad Nasser Al-Marri and the leader / Muhammad Faraj Al-Marri, the leader / Abdullah Al-Nahdi, and the leader / Waddah Ali.
Six scout teams representing schools participated in the camp: Abdullah bin Ali Al-Misnad Secondary School, Al-Gamiliya Secondary School,
Omar bin Abdulaziz Secondary School, Khalifa Secondary School, Ali bin Jassim Secondary School and Muhammad bin Abdelwahab high school
The participants in the gathering expressed their benefit from the scout program that was implemented with its diversity in practical and applied
paragraphs and the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood that prevailed during the implementation of the programs and their keenness to contribute to
the service and development of society.
